Professional standards and governance
Ullah Health Ltd is committed to honest professional communication, appropriate clinical practice and cooperation with the governance arrangements of the organisations for which services are provided.
GP qualification requirement
Any General Practitioner engaged by Ullah Health Ltd to undertake GP work must:
- Hold full GMC registration
- Hold a current licence to practise
- Be included on the GMC GP Register
- Hold current entitlement to use the MRCGP post-nominal
- Be included on the appropriate Medical Performers List where required
- Have appropriate professional indemnity arrangements for the proposed work
- Work within their competence and declared professional scope
Clinical governance
Clinical care delivered during an assignment forms part of the service operated by the commissioning or host organisation. Clinical work must therefore be undertaken in accordance with the host organisation's applicable:
- Clinical policies
- Prescribing procedures
- Referral pathways
- Safeguarding arrangements
- Information-governance requirements
- Incident-reporting processes
- Complaints procedures
- Escalation arrangements
- Business-continuity arrangements
Ullah Health Ltd does not claim to replace the host organisation's governance responsibilities.
Competence and scope
No assignment should be accepted solely because it has been described as a "GP shift". The actual patient population, expected procedures, clinical environment, available support, workload, access to investigations and escalation pathways must be considered.
A clinician must decline, clarify or seek appropriate support where duties fall outside their competence or agreed scope.
Indemnity
Confidentiality and patient information
Patient-identifiable information must not be submitted through the public website or general business email address.
During clinical assignments, patient information must be accessed and recorded only through approved systems and handled under the host organisation's policies, applicable confidentiality duties and data-protection law.
